I love the Holidays!!
Last year we had Christmas in Yosemite and this year we decided to make a tradition of it and we stayed at the Evergreen Lodge it was sooo beautiful!! From what we hear it doesn’t snow much at the Evergreen Lodge but this year it was covered in the most beautuful snow I have seen since living in Montana..perfect for snowman making..
Here are a few pictures errr..snapshots of my vacation.
Our Cabin

The Recreation room

One of the cool things about the Lodge is that there are lots of things for the kids to do on the day we got there the kids got to decorate stockings to hang on the community mantel and “Santa” fills them on Christmas.

On the second day we took the kids on a snowshoeing expedition..this would be the first time any of us have used snowshoes.

My favorite part…the Massage cabin! Sigh…after two miles of snowshoeing a massage is much needed!

Give someone something special…My friends over at Essential Imagery have set up this fan-freaking-tastic site Giving is Awesome and I wanted to share the love too.
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $1000 worth, to be exact. It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a FREE session worth $250.00. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
* The nominee must reside in San Diego California. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
* You must e-mail me the full story : ashley@ashleymcnamara.com
The winner will be announced on New Years Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!
Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
With love,
Ashley McNamara

Her “best friend” is the ceiling fan. I had to test this theory and yes, the fan is her best friend.

Always a ham…Big sister.

In just a few short months the YOU family will be welcoming a new brother for little Joshua. I was so happy to be able to document this special time in their lives. These will be some of the last family photo’s they have before this beautiful family of three becomes a gorgeous family of four.

Christmas is almost here! Can you believe it??
I remember growing my neighbor used to leave me and my sisters a trinket and a letter from Santa in our garage, it is one of my fondest memories from my childhood. I want to give my friend Pete a shout out he is doing something super cool! He has launched a site called www.straightfromsanta.com and what you do is answer a couple of questions and you can have a personalized letter from Santa sent to your child!
Pretty cute huh?!?

Hey folks. I am still playing catch up around here..I only have one to share today but I figured it was better than nothing.
This little guy didn’t want anything to do with that hat but I just loved the way his sweet ittle round face looked in it.

I am falling a little behind on my blogging lately..it has been a bit busy around here
I will try to catch up on my blogging this week.
This little guy is four weeks old and I was pretty convinced he would be too old to do any of the newborn “curled up” shots but much to my surprise he was an angel and slept for half the session.
