Uh oh ! I think you just sent me over the edge on the fisheye.
hehehe. It's been my lens I want but not necessary on my list...
I was thinking I'd rent it for wedding, but now seeing your family portrait I'm thinking I NEED IT NOW! :)
Love your work, as always!

Hi sweety! What a great post! I also have the 24-70mm 2.8 and the 50mm 1.4. Love them! I also have the 28mm 1.8 and fell in love with it the first time I used it. I was on the fence about the 15mm fisheye, but after your nice review on it and THAT PHOTO...how could I not just go get it!!?? I LOOOOOVE that photo. If it was my family, that picture would be displayed HUGE on my living room! :) Let's get together soon. Lunch?

enjoyed the bit about the 70-200, I was just contemplating on getting one but not having a fullframe gives me the same weird feeling about being a zillion miles away. Maybe not portraits but for good candids on weddinds it might be good enough ..

Ben--The 135 f/2.0 is on my wishlist :) however I rented the 85mm f/1.2 for a couple of days and was just not feeling it. Some lenses just work/look better on a full frame camera and the 85 (for me) is one of them. Thanks!

Nothing against the 70-200 2.8 at all but you may get more use out of the Canon 135 f/2.0 L or 85 f/1.2 lenses (to name just a few), especially with your predilection for primes!

The Canon 70-200 f/4 or Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 might be slightly more wieldy, less imposing choices.

Keep up the great work! :-)

ok, well, your blog looks AMAZING. can i trade you something to come sift through my code (ok, that sounded dirty). but fo'shizzle....the blog is awesome.

and you are so right, after i eschewed the 20d in favor of my trusty 5d my fisheye lost its' sort of usability. i'm currently in the market for a nikon wide wide angle for fun...i'm not sure if i'll bite the bullet. LOVE that pic of the family.

sorry, i should quit bloggin on your blog. xoxo
