Its been a little while since I have done a newborn session and this little girlie was sooo good to me. She hardly peeped the whole session and when she did it was because I was man-handling her HEHEHE…She was such a trooper and soo alert! I swear she was posing for me.

With Mikela my intention was to shoot at the beach but when we got there it was still super bright so while we were waiting for the sun to drop a bit we were chatting about cool places to shoot and Mikela’s dad mentions this abandoned house with graffiti and my eyes must have lit up because he goes..”follow me, lets head over” On the way he pointed out a bunch of other really cool spots.. (Favorited every single one in my GPS)
Let me just say you know your a professional photographer when your breaking into Private property for pictures..Not only are you breaking in but to break in you have to climb a 5ft fence..Now anyone who knows me is probably laughing pretty hard imagining ME hoisting myself up and over a fence and believe me it was no easy feat but totally worth it. Everything I needed was right there! Flowers, Long grass, and Graffiti!! So cool!

OK, so I have been doing senior sessions all week..obviously…Have I mentioned how much I LOOOOVE IT??? ACK! I love it!
Anyway, I have been excited about this session ALL WEEK!!! This is Joy and when Joy’s mom told me she was a ballerina I almost died!! I know I have done my fair share of urban seniors for the year but I knew that this HAD TO BE AN URBAN SESSION!! Urban Ballerina! How stinkin’ cool is that?
When Joy showed up I was completely giddy…she brought a basket of cool digs and then right on top were the ballet slippers…sigh…L O V E! I think I told her she “had me at hello..”

She started off kind of awkward..I was a little worried.
Another day another beautiful senior girl to shoot! This week has been so crazy for me, shoot after shoot..but its also been a blast and while I am only working off of about 3 hours of sleep a night I am surprisingly chipper. That could be due to the 5 Pepsi’s I have had this morning though.
Anyhow, I thought I would share a couple of pictures..I am such a bad blogger this week..no words but lots of pictures..hehe. I will try to get better I promise.
These next two crack me up. She has such an awesome smile but I wanted a couple of non smiling shots too..so I asked her not to smile and she had the absolute hardest time not smiling heheh! So after about a dozen shots of trying not to smile and it not working out we ended up with this one and when I saw it I said.. “oh that was fierce!” and that resulted in the next shot
I have to think about making these pictures a WEE bit smaller huh? lol
Ok, seriously…I don’t remember girls being this good looking when I was in high school or even in college.. I am having so much fun with these shoots that I am feeling kind of guilty calling this a job.
This is Susan and she is actually in college not high school and next year she will be transferring to UCLA and she will then go on to get her law degree…so good looks and smarts!
