Alicia called me to book a session last winter to book a session and when we booked the weather was looking great and when our session date came along the weather looked angry so we rebooked, and rebooked, and rebooked..

The Lorimer family was one of my first clients when I moved to the bay area and their daughter was just a newborn at the time and is still one of my favorite newborn shoots! Now little L is almost a toddler! How time flies.. Enjoy your sneak peek, Lorimer Family!

Last week I was commissioned by the owner of Gloss Salon in San Diego (not to be confused by the Gloss in Little Italy but the more AWESOME salon in 4S Ranch) to take some photos of her salon for their upcoming website. I’ve been going to Gloss for years and it’s by far the best salon I have ever been to I love it so much I still go there whenever I am in San Diego. You might not know Gloss because it’s a little hidden gem in a bedroom community between Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Santa Fe but if you get a chance do stop by!
Not only did I photograph the salon but we also did some photos of the receptionist, Gia for the website. Diana, my stylist and awesome friend was on site for some hair styling.

Olivia, quite possibly the most fashion forward baby I have ever photographed. She had clothes even I was envious of! Including an adorable Burberry swimsuit I didn’t know Burberry even made swimsuits!
The first time I photographed Olivia she was just a few days old and now she is 8 months! Time has just flown by!

Ok, first of all let me publicly proclaim how much I adore this family. You know how sometimes you just connect with people instantly? That was the Janhunen family. Little Finn, absolutely adorable – Fact!
I showed up a little early.. OK, it was about 3 hours too early for shooting in Crissy Field so we stopped by Bin 38 for wine and cheese. I cheated and had a diet coke but anyone who knows me knows that the fastest way to my heart is through food and there really isn’t anything better in this world than cheese.. Well, maybe ice cream but cheese is a close second and it was super yummy.. Point is, stop by Bin 38 for the cheese platter and Point number two is I like cheese so if i’m coming over make sure you have some because the Janhunen family set a new precedent..
Believe it or not, i’ve never shot here and I get asked more times than I care to admit. Something about it it intimidating but I sucked it up and decided to go for it and I am so glad I did.. I don’t know why I waited so long! Thank you Janhunen family for showing me around our beautiful city and buying me cheese. Enjoy your sneak peek!!!
