While at Ashton’s fabulous circus party a couple of weekends ago Orousha and I had a discussion about a small party she was throwing for Aasha’s 4th birthday, she said to me, “it’s just a small party.” but knowing Orousha I knew she couldn’t just throw a small party but part of me thought she was partied out.
Fast forward to last weekend.. I was in San Diego for a Half Marathon (that’s a completely different post) and I stopped by the Diamond Boutique in Del Mar to get my ring cleaned and the owner of the Diamond Boutique just happens to be Orousha’s mom, Mali, and I thought she might have shed a tear when she saw me walk through the doors because she wasn’t expecting me there that weekend. She went on to tell me that the. “small party” had turned into a LARGE party, complete with In-N-Out burgers, gift bags the size of small children, and barn animals. Mali had been searching for a photographer all morning and asked me if I would be able to shoot the party, it was the day of my half marathon so I did some quick math in my head and decided that I just couldn’t miss it. I agreed to run FAST to make it in time for this party…Maybe not fast for most people but I ran it fast for me and I completed in 2 hours and 12 mins and had plenty of time to make it to the party… unfortunately, the roads were closed and I didn’t get there until about 20 minutes before the party ended.. I wish I had seen the whole party because even in the last 20 minutes I was able to shoot it was amazing.. the children carrying those giant gift bags to their cars was priceless and the In-N-Out burgers were just what I needed after a long run. Who caters In-N-Out? Genius!
Orousha and the Digius family’s I adore you and thanks for letting me be a part of your fabulous lives.

These are cake details.. The cake had characters of all of the animals that the children would be seeing that day as well as an edible flower pot. Adorable!

The absolute biggest donuts i’ve ever seen.
