Bay Area Child Photographer – Alexandra – Ashley McNamara Photography

Since moving to the Bay Area I have been dying to do a shoot in the City so when Alexandra’s grandma called me to book a shoot I was super stoked.

On the day of the shoot it was rainy (as are most days here lately) and I was so bummed. I thought for sure I was going to have to reschedule but decided on a whim to just go ahead and try anyways. I am so glad I did. When I got there the sun peeked out just long enough for us to complete the session. We started in china town and ended at the warf with some ice cream. When were were ending the shoot Alexandra says to me, ” you’re the best photographer ever!” I promised I was going to quote her on that.

San Francisco – Bay Area Photographer – We are excited to announce…

We are expanding!

Starting October 1, Ashley McNamara Photography will be serving the San Francisco Bay area. What does this mean, exactly? Well, our home base will be in Danville/San Ramon, and we will be traveling to San Diego for sessions once each quarter. So no need to worry, we are still going to be working with our AMAZING clients here in San Diego, but we will be adding some new cool peeps in San Francisco!

In anticipation of the big change, we are offering a super special promotion to our loyal San Diego friends. A complete session and set of images on CD for ONLY $600!! That is half-price, folks, so you don’t want to miss it. We have only a handful of dates available, between Sept 1-15, so call now to reserve your spot.

Birthday Bash – Ashley McNamara – San Diego Event Photographer

♥ Tutu Heaven ♥

When my Baby Planner asked me to photograph her oldest daughter, Aasha’s, birthday, I knew it was going to be fabulous. What I didn’t know was that this was a party to end all parties! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always known these clients had amazing taste, but the time and planning that went into this party left me speechless! It was absolutely gorgeous! Little bits of “eye candy” wherever you looked. From the amazing cupcake cake to the personalized M&M’s, this is definitely a 2nd birthday to be remembered! I’m having a bit of picture overload, I tried to narrow it down, honestly I did, but they were all just so amazing! Enjoy!

I can’t wait to see what you do for Ava’s 1st, Orousha!!!

My favorite pictures are those that do not need an explanation and this shoot was full of them. My friend Kristin Rachelle (also a San Diego photographer) asked me to photograph her family and if you have met Kristin you will know that she is a blast so I couldn’t resist the opportunity! There are lots of “say cheese” moments in this shoot but of course I picked the funny/wacky ones because that’s just how I am.

What are little girls made of? – Ashley McNamara – San Diego Photographer

”They’re made of ribbons and butterfly kisses and wonder at Christmas and birthday wishes and a heap of giggles and wiggles and love; these are the things little girls are made of.”

Sweet Ella is about to celebrate her first birthday. Ella and family are from the bay area and wanted to have some pictures taken before she goes and grows up on them.Believe me, I know the feeling.

Shot using a Canon 40D, Lenses used 24-70 2.8L and 50mm 1.4, all shot between 1.4 and 2.8, ISO 200-600

I have gotten a couple of emails asking where I shot the “field” pictures. This shot was taken in front of a teeeny patch of grass in a shopping center where I live. I wish I could find a huge field of the stuff..if you know where one is let me know.
