Better late than never?
During my last trip to San Diego in July I had the pleasure of photographing the Holland family.
They come all the way from Texas for their shoots and of course some vacation. I’ve photographed the Hollands once before when their oldest was just a baby and now their family has grown +1 but don’t let those chubby cheeks and bouncy curls fool you that little one is a feisty one but oh, oh, so cute.
Ok, first of all let me publicly proclaim how much I adore this family. You know how sometimes you just connect with people instantly? That was the Janhunen family. Little Finn, absolutely adorable – Fact!
I showed up a little early.. OK, it was about 3 hours too early for shooting in Crissy Field so we stopped by Bin 38 for wine and cheese. I cheated and had a diet coke but anyone who knows me knows that the fastest way to my heart is through food and there really isn’t anything better in this world than cheese.. Well, maybe ice cream but cheese is a close second and it was super yummy.. Point is, stop by Bin 38 for the cheese platter and Point number two is I like cheese so if i’m coming over make sure you have some because the Janhunen family set a new precedent..
Believe it or not, i’ve never shot here and I get asked more times than I care to admit. Something about it it intimidating but I sucked it up and decided to go for it and I am so glad I did.. I don’t know why I waited so long! Thank you Janhunen family for showing me around our beautiful city and buying me cheese. Enjoy your sneak peek!!!

Another beautiful girl! Little Isabelle is just over 4 weeks old and was so good for me. I’ve been lucky to get those chubby cheeked babies this week! So pinchable! Ruth and Matt thank you for letting me cuddle your sweet girl for a couple of hours and enjoy your sneak peek!

The Webster family had me at, “Bring boots because it’s muddy.” I adore shoots where you just hang out and explore – making it better by the potential of muddy paths.
The Websters are moving to North Carolina and wanted to capture some images in their favorite place, the place they go as a family almost every night, and the place where Jason proposed to Letitia, right under the big tree overlooking the city… Adorable, right?
