Yay a COVER! This is so exciting for me. I have been published a few times but never on the cover. I was contacted a few months ago by Oh Baby Magazine  to use a picture for their upcoming issue (it has been so hard not blogging about it already) Oh Baby Magazine is a small Canadian publication catering to Moms, their magazine is dedicated to providing readers with information to support them through pre-conception, during pregnancy, and throughout their child’s early years.

Can I start by saying how much I love this family? This is the third time I have shot for them…I know, your jealous right? they are GORGEOUS! hehe…

I had a super hard time narrowing down the sneak peek because honestly, I love every single picture…sigh…So much so that I just spent the last six hours with my face in the computer screen editing these shots! oy..I have a headache!

Little side note–when I was editing my two year old son jumped up in my lap, pointed at the screen and said “Ohhhh pretty baby, I LOVE HER!” Leslie, how do you feel about arranged marriages? Because I love her too. :)

It was so much fun guys! Enjoy your peek!

Macro Photography - Ashley McNamara - San Diego Photographer

So, this Valentines Day my husband got me the usual…. some chocolates, two bouquets of flowers, cheese cake, and dinner..wait..you mean, you didn’t get that too?? You mean it sounds like I am bragging?? ;)  Sigh…sometimes he really comes through. :)

Anywhoo, I had these beautiful flowers sitting on my kitchen counter and I thought.. “wow, those are pretty awesome…I wish they weren’t going to die soon” because plants actually come to my house to die..Yeah, brown thumb betty here…So on a whim I decided that I wanted to tack on one more Valentines Day gift onto my already long list of loot and told my husband that I wanted to rent a macro lens so I could forever remember the beauty of those flowers…or maybe it was a lot less mushy, maybe I really just wanted some pretty flower pictures for my bedroom. ;) So one weekend with a macro lens and some awesome flowers I now have some pretty cool flower pictures! I am pretty proud of these! So without further adu here is my flower macro debut!
