Finally!!! I finally got to meet sweet Annabelle.

I want to thank everyone for their sweet emails and for sending the Linden’s well wishes it is so appreciated. I feel so lucky to have met such a sweet family and be a part of this special time in their lives.

Annabelle gave us all a big scare but she is here, healthy, and PERFECT! I wanted to put her in my purse and take her home with me. hehe! 

I have more than a few to share but I have a feeling that is ok. :)

When I walked into Anabelle’s nursery I noticed this Dr. Suess book up on her bookshelf I kept looking at it because it was one I had never seen before..I thought I knew all Dr Suess books! I asked to look at it and fell in love..it is the most beautiful Dr. Suess book I have ever seen. I told Holly that I wanted “to take the pages out and frame them.” and she insisted I take the book…I love it…Thank You, Holly!!!

What are little girls made of? - Ashley McNamara - San Diego Photographer

  ”They’re made of ribbons and butterfly kisses and wonder at Christmas and birthday wishes and a heap of giggles and wiggles and love; these are the things little girls are made of.”

Sweet Ella is about to celebrate her first birthday. Ella and family are from the bay area and wanted to have some pictures taken before she goes and grows up on them. ;) Believe me, I know the feeling. 

As requested here is some info:

Shot using a Canon 40D, Lenses used 24-70 2.8L and 50mm 1.4, all shot between 1.4 and 2.8, ISO 200-600

 

I have gotten a couple of emails asking where I shot the “field” pictures. This shot was taken in front of a teeeny patch of grass in a shopping center where I live. I wish I could find a huge field of the stuff..if you know where one is let me know. :)

Brocious Maternity Portraits - Ashley McNamara - San Diego Photographer

They are about to welcome their second baby girl!  I am so excited because not only do I absolutely LOVE this family because they are totally up for all of my crazy ideas but they decided that they wanted to do a baby plan so I get to spend the whole year photographing their new baby and watching her grow up.

Annabelly - Ashley McNamara - San Diego Photographer

Meet Matt and Holly  Linden a beautiful couple pregnant with their first baby, a little girl named Annabelle.

I received an email from a friend of Matt’s she wanted to set up a shoot but was not sure if Matt and Holly would be up for it, she told me their story and it brought me to tears. I immediately offered to do the shoot for free.

Matt and Holly have been married for 16 years, “we were the first of all of our friends to get married and the last to have children.” Matt said. 

Half way through Holly’s pregnancy they were given some sad news…their little Annabelle has a severe form of Spina Bifida, their neurosurgeon  has only seen one case as severe and the baby lived for only 4 hours outside the womb.

Holly and Matt will have their precious baby girl on Aug 16th..say a prayer, send some positive thoughts, and hugs. They are so strong and love each other so much but I am sure they appreciate the prayers.

Fay Family Session - Ashley McNamara - San Diego Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing the Fay Family yesterday. What a fun bunch!!

I love photographing families in their homes..as soon as I walked in I knew I wanted to use their fabulous oversized white chair! eek!!! love it!!

I have a feeling that white sofa and chair are not going to stay white because the Fay family welcomed a baby girl into the world about two months ago. She is such a cutie! I have never seen such a smiley two month old. :)

I also had a chance to photograph this little missy while I was there!

Williams Family Session - Ashley McNamara - San Diego Photographer

One of the best things about living in San Diego is that we are a vacation destination!! This means I get to shoot people from ALL over!

The Williams family come to us from Indiana and I seriously wanted to put them all in my pocket and take them home..

I loved them soooo much that we made our session a two parter! haha!

The littliest William (Logan) REALLY wanted to be on my “website” which I think means my blog…so I have an extra special picture for him.. Logan was particularly good at armpit farts…Now let me tell you, armpit farts require special skills so he was super proud of himself…As he should be..

Good to be back - Ashley McNamara - San Diego Photographer

Did anyone miss me?

I have been on “vacation” for the last three weeks, who knew vacation could be so exhausting..hence the quotes..

While on vacation my good friend Pam Biasotti asked me if I would take some pictures of her and her pup Riley and even though I was sooo totally sick and could barely say a word because my throat hurt soooooo bad!!! it was a blast.

I had the pleasure of shooting 10yr old Ally on Thursday…soooo cute.

Doesn’t she look like the next Lindsay Lohan? You know, like Lindsay in her Parent Trap days…no so much anymore..Don’t even get me started…

Anyhow, the spiders and thorns were worth it I am loving these shots and Ally was up for anything!

Its been a little while since I have done a newborn session and this little girlie was sooo good to me. She hardly peeped the whole session and when she did it was because I was man-handling her HEHEHE…She was such a trooper and soo alert! I swear she was posing for me. ;)
