It’s baby season!
There has been a boom in the Bay Area and It’s a a good thing to because I was starting to have withdrawals from that new baby smell. Gianna was just what I needed to get my fix. I don’t know what it is about these San Francisco babies but I have been so lucky because every single one I have worked with has been sleepy and curly two of my very favorite things. Gianna was so good to me, I could have photographed her all day.

A couple of weeks ago I flew to Memphis to meet my best friends baby, Kinley. . . She was more precious than I could have ever imagined I just love her. I spent about a week in memphis exploring and enjoying the constant heat and humidity
I don’t know how you Tennesseans do it, it was brutal!
One thing the heat is good for is shooting newborn photo’s outside. I can’t do that in the bay so I was pretty excited about that possibility. Early one evening we went on a drive to scout out locations and came across this abandoned house with this awesome barn in the back. . . it was perfect! We decided to stop and shoot, I was setting everything up when my feet started to burn. . . I looked down and my feet were covered in fire ants and they were chewing my poor feet to pieces, so now we have heat, humidity, and bugs if it weren’t for that sweet southern hospitality and the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had it might have been almost miserable. Note to self: Memphis in the summer isn’t so rad. Next time I think I will make a winter trip.

I always love shooting at the Porter house because they have such great taste, it’s unique and modern and I love that.
Last time I saw Ren he was just a little guy and now he is nearly walking. I always say it but it’s amazing how fast they grow up and it just goes to show how important pictures are. Ren wasn’t so sure about me at first but we quickly bonded over gerber puffs and by the end we were best friends.

Last weekend I flew to San Diego to photograph little Ashton who is now two months old. All of this gloomy bay area weather had me itching for some San Diego sun and when I arrived it was cloudy and cold so there are no awesome beach shots to share. All is well though, Ashton is cute as can be with his chubby cheeks and adorable smile. What more can you ask for?

ahhhh… the smell of a newborn baby is like heaven.
My photographer friend Brianne just had a baby and I was so bummed because I thought I wasn’t going to be able make it to San Diego to photograph her.
I mean it wasn’t like she needed me because she was in very good hands… Little Marlowe has been photographed by some awesome photographers since her arrival just 3 weeks ago
luckily, I was able to hop on a flight with my husband for an overnight trip and I took the opportunity to crash Briannes place and photograph her little sweetie. Unfortunately, I got in super late and only had 45 Min’s but I was able to get a couple of keepers.
