Meet Dillion - Cystic Fibrosis awareness - Ashley McNamara - San Diego Photographer

In 2005 my good friend Steffanie was hit with a bombshell, her then three year old son was diagnosed with Cystic fibrosis. It is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States, and 70,000 worldwide.

Dillion is six years old now… he is doing well but not without a lot of help… He has to spend 2 hours a day doing vest treatments and he takes several pills daily. Something as simple as a common cold can send Dillion to the hospital so he has to be extra careful and sometimes cannot do the things that a normal six year old can… Despite his struggles, Dillion is a playful, vibrant, and  sensitive soul… He always has a smile on his face!

Last year Dillion was chosen by the Make a Wish foundation… His wish was to go to Disney World, and this year he, his parents, and four other siblings are going to Disney World for six days thanks to Make a Wish!

Every year Steffanie and Dillion walk for CF to raise money for a cure… So here is where I ask… make a difference! Get off your butt and DONATE! If you think that you can’t make a difference your wrong… even just a dollar can make a difference! You have that much change in your pocket right? ;) Make a donation, leave a comment… and I will give a $10.00 iTunes card to a random person in the comment box a week from now.
